well, had a great time at church camp... (those who read the punkters' blogs would know Ben and I were away) it's more the ministry time that ministered to me. Really thank God for the break, and refreshment... need times like these to soak in His presence. the River of God is the Holy Spirit... some teaching about the Holy Spirit, and the conditions for and against the flow of the River... in GoFest, Holy Spirit is the Missions Director.... it's Holy Spirit...
In the camp, i was very glad to see jK coming up and surrendering stuff to God. We had a really rough 2 years... but i'm so glad it's over... so much struggle we went through.... my heart almost couldn't take it anymore, after sometime, but the Lord strengthened us and brot us through it....
It's really circumstances like those that i know more about myself and God was wanting to purify me too... challenging my methods and also to rely on Him more and more...
Used to say to God: "You know I rely on You lah...." but how much? do i really? have read so many books that talk about relying completely on the Lord, surrendering everything to Him.... tests like these show me where i am, in my spiritual life...
Val too, is rising up... i want to dance too! ;) must talk to her after she comes back from Changmai...may be chs have a dance ministry ??? (ok, talking to myself... i havn't learnt to dance properly...) watched the dancers at GoFest... really inspiring!
Still clinging onto God and the vision of the painted house spoken over my life...
wanna see youth dancing in His glory, and food on the table...
What i've learnt in GoFest:
1. Loren Cunningham said something really interesting. Changi = change... as in change locations.... wow!
2. Saw pictures of people suffering wrenched my heart...
3. Holy Spirit is the Missions Director
4. John 3:16, 19... the word :"love" = agape. In v19, is the people love the darkness.... we have to outlove the people, their love for sin and darkness... the love we love them with is the love of Christ.
Story of a guy who went to prison, and showing love to the cruel chief of prison (who ate up his wife's Christmas cooking), after the war... after the chief was released from prison...
ok, i'm not very good with rem names...
5. Key verse in GoFest: Hab 2:14 "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."
6. Disasters remind us that God will shake all things, so that what cannot be shaken may remain...
7. I am a blessing, a bridge and a catalyst.
8. Faith = hearing what God says.
= pray into existence what God has told you to pray
, then trust Him to do what is impossible
Listen - obey - your miracle happens - fruit that will remain!
9. He wants us to enter into His purposes, and WAITS for us to pray!
10. Unity causes multiplication. (not a new thing) Psalm 133. one can chase 1000, 2 can chase 10 000.
